How the Union takes decisions, who is entitled to vote, and which governing documents are published.

How decisions are made

Hosting rights for continental championships are awarded by a vote of AKU member federations, taken alongside AKU officials and representatives of the International Kabaddi Federation. Voting is conducted in accordance with the AKU Constitution and the approved bidding procedures, and the decision of the Union is final.

Only national federations that are fully affiliated to AKU and in good standing — financially and administratively — may take part in the bidding process, the championship draws or the championships themselves.

Who may vote

Each affiliated member federation nominates at least two accredited delegates to the General Meeting. Federations attending with officials from their Ministry of Sports, National Sports Council or equivalent authority are asked to declare this in advance.

Stated plainly: AKU references a Constitution in its bid guidelines but has not published it. There is also no published anti-doping policy, safeguarding policy, disciplinary code, financial report or strategic plan. These are listed in the document register above so their absence is visible rather than hidden, and each will link to the document as soon as it is published.
