The continental women’s championship: medallists, award winners, entry terms and the next edition.

The Africa Women Kabaddi Championship is a standing fixture of the AKU calendar and a qualification route to the Kabaddi World Cup.

Six national teams contested the 2025 title in a single day at JKUAT in Juja, streamed live and open to spectators without charge. Uganda’s She Gladiators took the championship ahead of Kenya and Zanzibar. Lavender Awuor of Kenya was named Best Raider and Eunice Awori of Uganda Best Defender.

AKU’s published entry terms set a squad of twelve players with a coach, team manager and technical official, and a 75 kg weight limit checked at a morning weigh-in.
