Coaches and match officials

The technical standards AKU applies at its championships, and what a national squad’s officials must cover.

Every AKU championship is run by certified match officials appointed by the Union, on courts marked to International Kabaddi Federation rules.

What AKU provides

At its championships the Union supplies certified match officials and on-site basic medical first aid, and awards the medals and individual honours. Host federations must provide officials’ changing rooms, a medical room, a doping control room where applicable, match tables, scoreboards and timing equipment.

Team technical officials

Each national squad entering an AKU championship travels with a coach, a team manager and a technical official alongside its players, as set out in the Union’s published entry terms.
