The junior championship, East African schools competition and youth development camp on AKU’s calendar.
AKU’s junior pathway runs from school competition through a continental junior championship that qualifies teams for the Junior Kabaddi World Cup.
The Union announced its first junior championship for 2025 with a field of twelve teams, alongside an East African secondary schools competition in Kampala and a youth development camp in Pretoria. AKU has not published outcomes for any of them, and two conflicting date windows were announced for the junior championship itself. Both announcements are recorded on the competition page rather than reconciled here.
Two further junior championships, for 2027 and 2029, went to a hosting vote in Zanzibar in August 2026. Host nations will be published here as AKU confirms them.
